We want to introduce you to a video series that we just discovered. Now, this series isn’t new by any means. It was recorded in 1993, but the information in it surprised us. In this video series, Dr. Klaper talks about the health benefits of a vegan or vegetarian lifestyle. He also points out the reality of how meat affects our health. Watch the videos. Remember what we said earlier; this video series was recorded in 1993. That’s almost 20 years ago! Now, in our culture, we are eating more meat than ever. That’s the complete opposite of what Dr. Klaper was suggesting we do. The impact of over meat consumption on our health is, as the video series has shown, quite different from what we were taught.
We are now full time vegetarians. (and no, it’s not because of the video series) We weren’t always. We loved dry-rub pork ribs, sirloin steak, cheeseburgers, pork chops, grilled chicken breast, turkey and/or ham on holidays, ice cream, yogurt, butter, milk, cream, cheese, and the list goes on. We happily ate them all.
So why did we change? Well, that’s for another post, but we promise: It has been a long process.
